Mid-year review
The mid-year review is an opportunity for managers and employees to have a formal check-in at the midpoint of the performance cycle. This section of the Performance Management Guide provides information for how to update employees’ S.M.A.R.T. goals, how to document employees’ demonstration of VCU’s core competencies, and how to approach employees’ comprehensive rating, which should take into account progress for both performance goals and VCU’s core competencies. Open the table of contents and click on the link to navigate directly to this section.
- The employee completes a mid-year self-review
- The manager completes a mid-year review and meets with each employee to discuss progress.
- The manager and employee electronically sign-off on the review.
