Establishing and maintaining the job structure
VCU HR will implement a three-year review cycle for the job structure and market pricing with a full review and analysis of one-third of the job structure occurring each year. Based on the findings of the review, salary ranges may be updated, new jobs added or unutilized jobs removed. Additionally, if based on sufficient data analysis, ranges outside of the scheduled review area are determined to be inappropriate, the identified ranges may be adjusted outside of the formal review schedule.
Requests to make changes to existing job titles, to create new job titles or eliminate existing job titles are communicated by managers, in consultation with the HR Professional, to VCU HR. Requests are evaluated by VCU HR and implemented, as appropriate.
